Job Overview
CatalogueCo is seeking a Data Scientist to drive data-driven decision-making. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in statistical modeling, and the ability to extract insights from large datasets.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for data collection, analysis, predictive modeling, and presenting actionable insights to improve business strategies and product offerings. This role will involve working closely with engineers, analysts, and business teams to optimize processes and maximize the value of data.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Preprocessing
- Gather, clean, and process large datasets from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to manage structured and unstructured data.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and patterns.
- Apply statistical and machine learning models to generate actionable insights.
- Work with stakeholders to identify key business metrics and optimize decision-making.
Predictive Modeling & Machine Learning
- Develop and deploy predictive models to improve operations and business outcomes.
- Train and optimize classification, regression, and clustering models.
- Utilize AI/ML frameworks to enhance automation and analytical capabilities.
Data Visualization & Reporting
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries.
- Present findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights for business teams.
Key Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years in data science, machine learning, or data analytics.
Skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.).
- Proficiency in big data processing tools (Spark, Hadoop, or AWS/GCP services).
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Knowledge of A/B testing, statistical analysis, and business intelligence reporting.
